Our goal is to blanket the entire area of our Diocese with Catholic Radio

With your help and support, Catholic Radio in the Diocese of Gaylord is growing.  Baraga Broadcasting, now has two additional transmitters, W221CA 92.1 FM in Gaylord  and W237CF 95.3 FM in Mackinaw City.  Proclaiming a Catholic message, these stations can be heard 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Joining with their "mother station" WTCK, 90.9 FM, it will complete an area of coverage from Boyne Falls along Michigan's west coast, Cheboygan, Mackinaw City, Gaylord and their surrounding areas.

Baraga Broadcasting, affiliated with EWTN Radio and Ave Maria Radio, features most of Catholic Radio's favorite offerings.  They include:  Fr. Harry Speckman and "Gaylord Conversations," "Christ Is The Answer," "Notes From Above," Bishop Sheen, Mother Angelica, "Catholic Connection" with Teresa Tomeo, "The Doctor Is In" with Drs. Ray Guarendi and Colleen Kelly Mast, "Kresta in the Afternoon,"  "Deep in Scripture" and the widely favored "Catholic Answers." Mass from the EWTN Chapel and devotionals such as the Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet are offered on a daily basis.

Poor Reception In The Fringe Areas?

Here are some tips on increasing WTCK and W237CF's signal strength in the home.  Many homes still have outdoor television antennas and they make great FM radio antennas.  Simply connect them to your stereo receiver.  It is advisable to face the smaller (front) end of the antenna towards our tower in East Jordan, Michigan.  To do this, you might want to look at a Michigan map and draw a line from your vantage point to East Jordan, Michigan and direct the antenna accordingly.

If you don't have an outdoor antenna, you can try an amplified indoor FM antenna.  You can purchase these at your local Radio Shack, Wal-Mart or K-Mart store.  Oftentimes, you can improve the signal with a common set of Rabbit Ears.
