“Radio offers perhaps the closest equivalent today to what Jesus was able to do with large groups through his preaching.  Radio is an intimate medium and may well be the most effective means of reaching large numbers of people.”                         Pope John Paul  1920  -  2005

The success of Catholic Radio in the  Dioceses of Gaylord and Marquette is totally dependent on its supporters.

It is important to note that Baraga Broadcasting is a lay initiative, which means that “YOU” the listener and

supporter are the sole owners of this Catholic Radio Apostolate!

The entire “all volunteer” staff of Baraga Broadcasting, would like to thank each and every one of you for your faithful participation in our mission.

                                                                     A SPECIAL INVITATION

Due to the soft economy of today, Baraga Broadcasting is struggling to meet its monthly financial obligations.  Please consider our Second Annual, Spring Benefit Dinner as a personal invitation to do your part in helping to finance Catholic Radio in Northern Michigan.

Friday, April 16, 6:30 pm, Baraga Broadcasting, the Catholic voice of Northern Michigan, will be putting on an elegant fundraiser dinner at Holy Childhood parish hall, with a phenomenal key-note speaker, Dr. Ray Guarendi, of "The Doctor Is In" which is aired daily by Baraga Broadcasting, Ave Maria Radio, and EWTN.

Our goal is to fill the hall to capacity which will help to raise the necessary funds to expand the voice of Catholic radio throughout our diocese of Gaylord as well as the eastern third of the upper peninsula.

You are all invited to attend (and to get the word out as well).  We are asking for a tax-deductible donation of $50.00 per person. This includes hors' deuvres, bibb salad, prime rib or shrimp scampi over pasta, elegance of chocolate dessert, and the very humorous and entertaining “Look At Life and Relationships” that Dr Ray will give us.

If you are a member of a group or organization...feel free to inform your colleagues of this event and distribute our brochures accordingly. If you need a number of brochures or tickets, please call the station and they will send you as many as you need. Call toll free 1-866-799-9825 and ask for Tom McMahon, or you can call Tom’s cell-phone 989-306-3168.  Your reservation can be secured via check, credit card or debit card.

Here's a thought...how about reserving an entire table of 8 or 10 so your group can share in the fun together!

We certainly hope you will be able to join us Friday, April 16, 2010 at Harbor Springs Holy Childhood Church Hall to support Catholic Radio in our diocese.
